GloriaFood alternatives compared: which ordering system fits your restaurant?

The right GloriaFood alternative depends on how your restaurant takes orders. A delivery-focused pizzeria needs different workflows than a café with table QR codes or a chain with several locations. This comparison sorts fourteen options by focus, cost model and regional limits, using the vendors' own public pages as of October 2026.

Why compare GloriaFood alternatives now?

GloriaFood will reach end of life on 30 April 2027, according to the notice on its homepage (checked 11 October 2026). Oracle offers no direct replacement and points to FoodAmigos for onboarding help. Existing customers are supported until the end date.[1]

The comparison matters because GloriaFood set a low bar on price. Its pricing page lists a free plan with unlimited orders, no commission per order, no monthly fee and no setup fee, with paid add-ons such as card payment at checkout for US$29 per month and advanced promo marketing for US$19 per month. Most hosted alternatives charge a subscription, a commission or both.[2]

How we compared: we read public product pages, price lists and switch offers and re-checked the most important ones on 11 October 2026; where a page could not be loaded, the fact and its older access date are kept. All statements come from the vendors; we did not test accounts against each other. This guide is published by the OrderKick editorial team and therefore includes our own product.

Which criteria matter most when choosing a GloriaFood alternative?

The criteria that decide most choices are the cost model, the menu transfer and how orders reach your kitchen. Use the list below to write down your must-haves before you look at vendors.

  • Commission vs subscription: a percentage per order grows with your sales, a flat subscription does not. Check for guest-side fees too, which some vendors add on top.
  • Payment fees: if guests pay when ordering, ask for the processing rate and who the payment provider is. Cash and card on pickup or delivery avoids these fees but not the card terminal costs.
  • Menu import: ask which fields are carried over from GloriaFood (sizes, choice groups, extras, images, allergens) and what you re-enter by hand.
  • Ordering page and website: do you get a hosted ordering page, a button for your existing website, a full restaurant website, or a plugin you host yourself?
  • Order intake device: which tablet or phone receives orders, how loud the alarm is, and how staff accept, decline or set a ready time.
  • Printing: which receipt printers are supported, over which connection, and whether printing costs extra.
  • Delivery: own delivery with zones, fees and minimum order, or connections to courier services, and what those cost per order.
  • Multi-location: shared menu, separate hours and zones per location, and pricing per location.
  • Region and language: contracts, currency, payment providers, tax display, guest-facing languages and support hours in your country.

For the menu, GloriaFood documents a Fetch Menu request that returns JSON or XML with a key per restaurant location; that key does not give access to accepted orders. A vendor can only build on what this export or your own records contain.[3]

How do the main GloriaFood alternatives compare?

The table compares fourteen alternatives by focus, published cost model and GloriaFood-specific offer as of October 2026. Use it to pick two or three candidates; it is not a complete quote for your location. Prices are as published by each vendor, in their currency, and exclude tax unless stated.

Desk research of vendor pages, checked 20 September and 11 October 2026 (see sources). Vendor statements, not hands-on product tests.

FoodAmigos: the provider named in GloriaFood's notice

FoodAmigos is the only provider that GloriaFood names in its end-of-life notice, as a company with onboarding resources for GloriaFood customers. Its separate GloriaFood page says its migration team exports menus, clients and customer data and rebuilds them on FoodAmigos, and it mentions special pricing for GloriaFood resellers without amounts.[1][5]

The general pricing page shows no numeric standard price and no commission rate as of 11 October 2026. Ask for a written quote and a written list of what is transferred, and check the legal basis before any customer data moves. A promise of migration support does not replace a test run with your sizes, extras and delivery rules.[4]

Flipdish: managed website and app with a switch offer

Flipdish suits takeaways and restaurants that want a managed website and app with support during setup. Its euro price list starts at €49 per month billed annually (€69 billed monthly) for the website, and €79 (€99 monthly) for website plus app. Hardware and implementation can add upfront costs, and Flipdish handles card processing at rates the page does not state.[6]

For GloriaFood customers, Flipdish advertises free migration, a branded website and app live in seven days, and a switch offer whose details are only shared in a demo. Ask which menu fields, customer data and old links are actually carried over, and confirm the till connection and delivery coverage for your country.[7]

UpMenu: modular platform priced by order volume

UpMenu prices web ordering by order volume: US$49, US$89 or US$169 per location and month for 75, 210 or unlimited orders and reservations, with euro, Swiss franc, pound and Canadian dollar prices also listed. Web ordering is described as commission-free. Above the limit, extra orders cost US$1.90 each if you allow them.[8]

App, loyalty, reservations, table ordering and delivery services are separate modules, for example US$49 per location and month for the mobile app. Payment when ordering is only available in countries supported by UpMenu's payment gateways. Configure your exact package before you compare it with a flat-price offer.[8]

Owner.com: growth package with restaurant and guest fees

Owner.com is not commission-free on every plan. Flexible costs US$249 per month plus a 5 % restaurant fee per order; Flat Rate costs US$499 per month without the restaurant fee and is aimed at restaurants with more than US$5,000 in monthly online sales. On both plans guests pay a 5 % order support fee.[9]

The package bundles website, SEO pages, ordering, app, loyalty and marketing, and its pricing is in US dollars. Availability outside North America is not confirmed in the sources we checked. Consider how a guest fee affects your prices compared with your current GloriaFood setup.[9]

DISH Professional Order: German offer with term-based pricing

DISH Professional Order is a direct ordering product for Germany priced by contract term. It costs €49 net per month on a 36-month term, €59 on 12 months and €64 on 3 months, plus €299 setup for new contracts; when guests pay while ordering, the FAQ lists a fee of 1.89 % of gross revenue.[10]

For a switch with a fixed end date, the lowest monthly figure only applies to the longest term. Ask which terminals and printers are included or required. The German terms do not necessarily apply in Austria or Switzerland.[10]

Orderable: ordering on your WordPress website

Orderable is the free-to-start option for restaurants that already run a self-hosted WordPress site. The free plan includes online ordering with pickup and delivery scheduling; Pro costs US$149 per year for one site, and neither plan charges commission. WooCommerce is required.[12]

Hosting, updates, backups, checkout setup and extra plugins stay your responsibility. Compare the licence with the full cost of a maintained installation and decide who fixes the ordering page on a Friday evening.

Which other GloriaFood alternatives are worth a look?

Six further vendors fit specific needs such as table ordering, integrations or courier coordination. The notes below summarise what their public pages say.

  • Restolabs: pickup, own delivery, catering, loyalty and several payment gateways; plans include a 30-day free trial and 0 % commission, but plan prices were not shown on the pricing page on 11 October 2026, and add-ons such as a website (US$29) and app (US$49) are labelled both monthly and one-time.
  • FineDine: digital menus, ordering and reservations; Starter at €27 per month billed yearly covers 100 menu items, 20 tables, 1,000 monthly orders and 50 reservations; larger plans raise these limits.
  • MENU TIGER: QR menus and table ordering; the plan matrix listed Regular at US$17 per month for two stores with 15 table QR codes each and printing software at US$20 per month (checked September 2026).
  • Choice: digital menus, table ordering, pickup and own delivery in one interface with a German-language site; regional prices were not clear enough to compare (checked September 2026).
  • Deliverect Direct: own ordering channels inside an integration platform; pricing is a custom quote by location, scale, number of locations and solution.
  • Ordermoon: direct ordering with a restaurant app, a driver app and QR menus; the homepage shows no prices and offers a trial on request.

Where does OrderKick fit among GloriaFood alternatives?

OrderKick is a direct ordering system for restaurants in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a flat monthly price and 0 % commission; current terms are on the pricing page. It covers an ordering page with menu, cart and checkout, pickup and own delivery with radius zones, fees and minimum order, and opening hours per service with breaks and special days.[23][21]

Orders arrive in the order-intake app on an Android tablet or phone with an alarm, staff accept with a time the guest sees or decline, and a kitchen ticket prints on a networked Epson receipt printer. Guests pay cash or card on pickup or delivery. Several locations can share one menu.[21]

The GloriaFood menu import uses the Fetch Menu key or a JSON file, shows a preview and saves a hidden draft before activation. It carries over categories, dishes, descriptions, sizes with prices, choice groups and options, and order types per dish. Allergens and labels are imported when GloriaFood provides them unambiguously and are checked before publishing. Images, nutrition data, time rules and guest, order or payment data are not imported, and there is no ongoing sync.[22]

Which type of alternative fits which restaurant?

Match the alternative to how most of your orders happen, not to the longest feature list. These pairings are starting points for your shortlist, based on each vendor's stated focus.

  • Delivery-heavy pizzeria or takeaway: test delivery zones, minimum order, sizes and extras, the order-intake device and receipt printing first; direct ordering systems such as FoodAmigos, Flipdish, UpMenu, DISH or OrderKick fit this pattern.
  • Café or restaurant with table ordering: QR-focused tools such as MENU TIGER, FineDine or Choice put table QR codes at the centre.
  • Restaurant with a WordPress site and technical help: Orderable runs inside your existing website.
  • Owner who wants marketing handled: managed packages such as Owner.com or Menufy, mainly in North America, with their fee models in mind.
  • Group with existing systems and several channels: integration platforms such as Deliverect Direct or Restolabs.

How do you narrow the list to one decision?

Narrow the list by testing your most common order end to end with two or three vendors and comparing written total costs.

  1. Describe your most frequent order, for example a pizza with size and extras for delivery, and test it from the guest's phone to the kitchen ticket.
  2. Write down your must-haves: language, payment provider, printer, till system, delivery area, breaks, locations and responsible people.
  3. Request a full cost sheet: term, locations, order limits, restaurant and guest fees, payment fees, setup, hardware and add-ons. Compare only within the same currency.
  4. Get the data transfer in writing: menu, images, allergens, customer consent, order history and reservations are separate datasets.
  5. Set the switch date only after test orders, order acceptance, payment and printing work together, and well before 30 April 2027.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best GloriaFood alternative for a pizzeria?

There is no single best choice; it depends on your delivery area, order volume, devices and country. For a pizzeria, test sizes and extras, delivery zones with fees and minimum order, the order-intake device and receipt printing with two or three direct ordering systems, and compare their written total costs.

Can I import my GloriaFood menu into another system?

GloriaFood documents a Fetch Menu request that returns the menu as JSON or XML with a key per location, and several vendors offer migration help. OrderKick imports categories, dishes, descriptions, sizes with prices, choice groups, options and order types from it, plus allergens and labels when GloriaFood provides them unambiguously, but not images or guest and order data. Ask every vendor for this list in writing.

Which GloriaFood alternatives charge no commission?

According to their pricing pages in October 2026, UpMenu web ordering, Menufy, Orderable and Restolabs charge no per-order commission, and OrderKick has a flat monthly price with 0 % commission. Owner.com's Flexible plan adds a 5 % restaurant fee, and guests pay a 5 % order support fee on both of its plans.

Is there a free alternative to GloriaFood?

Orderable has a free plan, but it runs on a self-hosted WordPress and WooCommerce site that you maintain yourself. Most hosted alternatives in this comparison charge a monthly subscription, so compare total cost including payment fees and hardware.

Is FoodBooking an alternative to GloriaFood?

No. GloriaFood describes FoodBooking as a shared app within its own offer where restaurants are listed side by side. It is part of GloriaFood, not an independent successor.
